Alright, last last month was all about the LOVE… I wanted to chat about this topic one more time before we forget all about the importance in and out of our biz!
So many of us love our biz, and will work tirelessly on it without hesitation…that sometimes, we forget to give that much love and attention to our own relationships.
And hey, LISTEN. It's not your fault, I get it, and I have BEEN there! (Especially if you're riding a “viral” wave of orders). But I do know that our relationships outside of our business, no matter how new or old they may be, need love and attention, too!

Here are a few ways to maintain relationships when you're overwhelemed:
⚡ YOUR BIZ WILL BE OK: know that your business isn't going to burn down if you don't spend EVERY WAKING MINUTE ON IT.. I will be the FIRST to admit that I feel like I need to spend EVERY spare second on something to do with my biz, and then will blame a problem on the fact that I “neglected” my biz. NOPE. We created our business to work AROUND our family, not the other way around…remember that!

⚡ MAKE TIME WITH YOUR SPOUSE/SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Schedule plans, and keep them, (that means DO NOT cancel... period. ) They could be something as simple as an ice-cream date, a Netflix movie night in, or as extravagant as a nice dinner out. ( Tyler & I have done date nights ranging from lavish steak dinners to trips at Menards, going for a hike to going fishing...... don't make it complicated!)
⚡ Do the same for your kids, too: this is my favorite because kids just want 1:1 time and let's face, it we all need more play. We've pointed to a local map and went to explore a new town, we've done an IN HOME MOVIE THEATRE date, (BONUS: go to the dollar store everyone picks out one snack, so $5 total), or get outside and have a sidewalk chalk competition, make a sidewalk chalk obstacle course!
To sum it all up, don't overthink it......... in the end, you know what works for your family dynamic and lifestyle...... but please promise yourself and your loved ones some 1:1 time and STICK TO IT..... you'll remember why you're working so hard, your creativity comes back and is replenished, and you'll remember that life is meant to be shared with the ones you love the most!
Shine on,
Dana
